A light glaze of ice is expected to cover Schuylkill County on Tuesday morning.
National Weather Service advises that it could affect the morning commute. It has placed Schuylkill County under a Winter Weather Advisory, which extends from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23.
Forecasters say there’s a chance of rain and freezing rain before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, followed by a chance of rain between 4-5 p.m., and then a slight chance of snow after 5 p.m.
A high temp of 38 is expected on Tuesday.
The wintry weather continues on Tuesday night into Wednesday with a chance of rain and snow before 2 a.m. Wednesday and then a chance of rain and freezing rain between 2-4 a.m. Wednesday.
A low temp of 31 is expected Tuesday night.
Freezing rain is expected to continue until about 8 a.m. on Wednesday before plain rain takes over. A high temp of 38 is expected on Wednesday.
Even more rain is expected on Wednesday night and all day Thursday but temperatures will climb higher above freezing.
