State Police are asking residents of a neighborhood outside Schuylkill Haven for help in identifying the person or persons involved in a suspected home burglary late last year.
According to information released by State Police-Schuylkill Haven, the incident happened back on Dec. 27 along Kelsey Dr. in North Manheim Twp.
Sometime between 3-3:15 p.m. that day, police say someone entered an open sliding door to the basement of a home on Kelsey Dr., near the Redner’s Warehouse Market grocery store.
Once inside, that person allegedly stole money, jewelry, and some personal identification documents from the home.
Police canvassed the neighborhood and believe that a mid-2010s or early-2020s black Jeep Cherokee may have been used by the perpetrator. The vehicle was reportedly driven by an unidentified black man with an unidentified black woman in the front passenger seat.
State Police are asking anyone in that neighborhood who may have surveillance footage showing this vehicle in the area at that time to review the video and try to get a registration number on that Jeep or any other identifying information that might help locate the people of interest in this case.
