Police say they’ve identified a woman who was found dead in St. Clair in March of 2023.
Back on March 26, St. Clair Police contacted State Police-Schuylkill Haven for help in a death investigation.
A woman was found near Fernwood Ave. She was wearing a pink bra, black pants, and a pair of black Ugg boots. A long-sleeve shirt and white jacket were next to the woman.
However, police did not have an identity for the woman.
According to information released on Jan. 2, 2024, a submitted DNA sample to the State Police Forensic DNA Division was able to help identify the woman as 60-year-old Karen Rosemarie Rohrbach.
Police say no foul play is suspected in Rohrbach’s death and believe she died of natural causes.
Based on our previous reports of police information on this case, it’s believed that Rohrbach actually died around December 2022 and police believed she’d been where she was found for several months.
