Police Say Thieves Made Off with 275 Gallons of Off-Road Diesel from Schuylkill County Location

Stolen fuel and pump handle worth more than $1,600.

State Police in Frackville are investigating the reported theft of off-road diesel from one location in Schuylkill County.

According to information released Friday, the reported theft happened some time around 2 a.m. from a location on Green Mountain Rd. in East Union Twp. Police list the victim of this alleged theft as Meadowbrook Landscape, of Berwick.

During the alleged theft, 275 gallons of off-road diesel fuel were taken from a fuel tank. The thief or thieves also made off with the fuel pump attached to the tank holding the fuel.

Whoever took the fuel and pump handle went off in an unknown direction and by unknown means, police say.

The missing off-road diesel is valued at $1,150 and the pump handle at $520.

Anyone with information about this reported incident is asked to call Trooper Karaman at the State Police-Frackville barracks at 570-874-5300.
