Kerry W. Richards, 74, of Tower City, entered eternal life on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center with his son by his side.
He was born December 19, 1948 to the late William and Helen (English) Richards.
He was a 1966 graduate of Williams Valley Jr./Sr. High School.
Kerry was of the Protestant faith and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Tower City.
In his younger years, he was also active and served as President of the former Porter-Tower Jaycees.
He was a hardworking warehouse worker and forklift operator until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching old western movies and taking morning walks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Richards.
Kerry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beth (Holden) Richards; a daughter Crystal Richards, Tower City; a son, Chad Richards and his wife Jody, Valley View; a granddaughter, Kailie Gaw and her husband Colton, Herndon; and a grandson, Caden Richards, Valley View.
Being respectful of his wishes, services will be held at the discretion of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Tower City Fire Company, P.O. Box 22
Tower City, PA, 17980, in his memory and in honor of his son and grandson; both of who have been actively involved in the volunteer fire service since the age of 14, and whom we was very proud of.
