Police are looking for a Schuylkill County man they want on a kidnapping charge after a fight with his ex.
According to State Police in Schuylkill Haven, the incident happened on New Year’s Eve. They say Matthew Miller, 33, of Pine Grove, forced his ex-girlfriend, a 34-year-old woman from Williamstown, Dauphin County, into his truck.
Inside the truck, police say Miller assaulted the woman for “an extended period of time.”
During the fight, Miller apparently threw all of his ex’s belongings out of the truck and threatened to kill her.
Then, near a restaurant along Long Run Rd., Wayne Township, the woman was able to escape the truck. This happened in front of several witnesses saw what was happening and called 9-1-1.
Miller fled the scene and hasn’t been seen since.
Police are asking anyone who knows Miller or of his whereabouts to call the Schuylkill Haven barracks at 570-593-2000.
