You can watch a live stream an information meeting of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives State Government Committee as it discusses state redistricting of Congressional districts.
The live stream begins at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9.
The committee is expected to hear from redistricting guru Amanda Holt and discuss the preliminary Citizen’s Congressional Map, which you can see right here:
While this map keeps Schuylkill County in Pennsylvania’s 9th Congressional District, the district is drastically altered in shape and location.
It would put Schuylkill County in the same district as the following counties: Carbon, part of Luzerne, Columbia, Northumberland, Montour, Sullivan, Lycoming, Clinton, Tioga, and part of Potter. It means your home and your cabin would likely be represented by the same member of Congress.
