UPDATE: Police ID Driver in Pottsville Hit-and-Run That Injured 12-Year-Old Girl – Not Yet Releasing Name

Police in Pottsville are asking for the public’s help in solving a hit-and-run crash Friday evening in which a 12-year-old girl was injured.
The crash happened at about 6:07 p.m. Friday at N. Centre and E. Race streets in the city. Police say a 12-year-old Pottsville girl was hit by a pickup truck.
Witnesses tell police the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene. They describe the vehicle as a dark blue or black extended cab truck with a matching color hard cap over the truck bed. The truck fled the scene north on N. Centre St.
The girl hit by the truck was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries.
If anyone saw the crash or can identify the driver, they’re asked to call Pottsville PD at 570-628-3792.
