Police Investigating Infant Death in Tremont

The death of an infant is currently being investigated in one part of Schuylkill County.

According to information from State Police in Schuylkill Haven, they were called to a home on Clay St. in Tremont just before 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 22. A 10-month-old child was reported as being “unresponsive”.

The child was taken to Lehigh Valley hospital in Pottsville and later pronounced dead.

No determination on a cause of death has been released by authorities.
