Man Dead in Port Carbon “Domestic Incident” Tuesday

Police are still investigating the death of a man on Tuesday evening in Port Carbon.

Not much information is available to us at the moment, but according to State Police in Schuylkill Haven, they responded to a home on Third St. to help Port Carbon PD with a “domestic incident”.

Through the course of their investigation at the scene, police say they found a 50-year-old man deceased outside that home on Third St.

While we were on the scene Tuesday evening, a heavy police presence could be seen standing on Third St., focused on a home on the north side of the street. Police say there is no threat to the public’s safety tonight as it relates to this incident.

Port Carbon PD and State Police were joined at the scene by Pottsville PD, Saint Clair PD, members of the Schuylkill County Sheriff’s department, and the State Police Special Emergency Response Team.
