(UPDATED WITH NEW INFORMATION)
A mother and her 4-year-old son died in a house fire Saturday morning in Hegins Township, Schuylkill County.
According to a report from WNEP-TV, 44-year-old Tawnya Bowman and 4-year-old Daniel Bowman perished in the fire. (A previous report from another station indicated two children died in the fire.)
Calls went out to first responders at about 10 a.m. Saturday for a house fire in the 900 block of Main St. in Hegins Township.
Crews are still actively fighting the fire at the scene (12:30 p.m.).
The American Red Cross has been called to the scene to assist two males and one female who’ve reportedly survived the fire.
