Schuylkill County District Attorney Mike O’Pake said this week he’ll pursue a murder charge against Pine Grove man who said he fought with his grandmother prior to her death in January.
According to The Shenandoah Sentinel, Kalvin Clark now faces first- and third-degree murder charges in addition to the assault charges he already faced.
Clark was arrested on Jan. 24 after authorities found his grandmother, Sharon Zimmerman, dead in her Pine Grove home.
Upon his arrest, Clark allegedly told police that he and his grandmother fought the day prior and she fell down a flight of stairs. He allegedly carried her up to the bathroom the following morning.
Clark’s been in Schuylkill County Prison since his initial arrest facing an aggravated assault charge.
