Mahanoy City Police arrested a man Monday they say was rummaging around homes that were destroyed by fire on New Year’s Eve 2020.
According to information released yesterday, 48-year-old Joseph Minnich was taken into custody in the 300 block of W. South St. in the borough. Police say Minnich is also known as “Princess” which provided plenty of comment fodder on the police department’s Facebook page.
Minnich spent the night in Schuylkill County Prison after District Judge Anthony Kilker charged arraigned him on 2 counts of felony burglary, 2 counts of felony criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and possessing an instrument of crime. He’s being held on $25,000 cash bail.
According to a report from The Shenandoah Sentinel, an instrument of crime wasn’t the only thing in Minnich’s possession. To find out what else Princess had on him when he was confronted by Mahanoy City officials, check out this report:Â Mahanoy man arrested for breaking into burned buildings
