A second death in Schuylkill County is being blamed on the Chinese coronavirus, public health officials confirmed Saturday.
Also on Saturday, another 15 positive cases of the Chinese virus were identified in Schuylkill County. That brings the cumulative total, to date, to 179.
Saturday was the 21st consecutive day of positive coronavirus cases locally. Here’s a day-by-day breakdown:

Statewide, cumulatively, there are 21,655 positive cases as of noon Saturday, April 11. Pennsylvania’s death toll from coronavirus-related illness is now 494.
The first positive case in Pennsylvania was reported on March 6. The first case in Schuylkill County was reported on March 22.

To date, there are 21,655 total positive cases of Chinese virus in Pennsylvania and another 98,498 negatives.
