It’s a busy day in Pottsville and it seems, based on this forecast from National Weather Service, we’ll get a break from the truly putrid stuff just long enough to get in all the fun.
In the morning, the second Pottsville Outdoor Markets gets going down at Union Station. It’ll be a rather brisk morning and early afternoon but it sure looks better than the biting wind and downright cold temps we experienced for the first of these markets in 2024 last month.
Then, at 2 p.m., the Schuylkill County Volunteer Firefighters Association Convention Parade gets started and winds its way through the city. By then, the temps could be headed into the low-60s.
It’s expected to be a fairly long parade but it should end just before the risk of rain showers and maybe a thunderstorm goes back up on Saturday evening.
