Lately, National Weather Service has been a bit off with its forecasts for Schuylkill County.
They’ve gotten the sunny part spot on but when it comes to predicting the high temperatures recently, they’ve been a bit off.
Normally, it really wouldn’t matter. But there’s definitely a big difference in how an 80-degree day feels and an 85-degree day.
Today’ NWS is forecasting highs in the low 70s. We’re kinda hoping they’re right about that.
Here’s the latest 7-day forecast for Pottsville from National Weather Service …
Friday: ☀️ Mostly sunny with a high near 72°. Southeast wind at 7 to 9 mph.
Friday Night: ☁️ Mostly cloudy with a low around 47°. Southeast wind continues at 7 to 9 mph.
Saturday: 🌦️ A chance of showers, mainly after 8am. Cloudy with a high near 57°. Southeast wind at 9 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half an inch possible.
Saturday Night: 🌧️ Showers intensify, mainly after 2am. Low around 46°. Southeast wind around 14 mph, gusting as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Sunday: 🌧️⛈️ Showers with possible thunderstorms after 2pm. High near 59°. Precipitation chance remains at 80%, with similar rainfall amounts as Saturday.
Sunday Night: 🌧️🌫️ Chance of showers before 2am, then patchy fog forms. Mostly cloudy with a low around 55°. Precipitation chance drops to 30%.
Monday: 🌦️ A chance of showers after 2pm. Mostly cloudy with a high near 73°. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday: 🌤️🌧️ A chance of showers after 2pm. Mostly sunny with a high near 76°. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Wednesday: 🌦️⛈️ Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Partly sunny with a high near 78°. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Thursday: 🌧️ Showers likely. Mostly cloudy with a high near 75°. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
