We may have been able to avoid the rain showers on Wednesday but that doesn’t look like a possibility today.
National Weather Service is predicting more than an inch of rain throughout the day and getting steadily heavier into the nighttime hours.
Some areas of Schuylkill County could get in excess of 2 inches of rain today and there isn’t a spot here that won’t get less than 1 inch.

In addition to the heavy rain, the wind will pick up once again, so secure that patio furniture and your trash cans. Gusts higher than 40 mph are possible Thursday night.
