March Coming In Like a Lamb, Not a Lion

However March comes in, we’re all just happy to see February go.

We have clever little phrases for the weather in March and April but not February.

Why is that?

For instance, March is definitely not going to come in like a lion this year. It looks rather tame at the end of this coming week. So, if it comes in like a lamb, does it go out like a lion?

Where are lambs and lions co-existing so these goofy sayings can be created?

And really, what about February? There’s no saying for February.

Maybe we’re just all happy to see it go away. After what this month put us through in 2024, you could argue we deserve a nice, mild week to finish out an otherwise miserable month of weather.
