4th of July Forecast for Schuylkill County

Should be a great day for a cookout and fireworks!

Here’s your Independence Day weather forecast for Tuesday, the 4th of July, in Schuylkill County.

Don’t let the possibility of a little rain put a damper on your plans for the big holiday. Overall, it should be a rather pleasant day.

During the day Tuesday, expect a partly sunny sky with temperatures warming up to a pleasant high near 80°. The calm morning breeze will pick up, becoming a northwest wind of about 5-9 mph.

However, you may want to keep your rain gear handy as there’s a slight chance of showers in the early part of the day, increasing to a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon.

New rainfall amounts will generally be less than a tenth of an inch, but could be more if a thunderstorm rolls through.

As for your evening plans – including possibly checking out the fireworks display in Port Carbon – there is a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7.

Afterwards, the sky will become mostly clear and temperatures will cool to a low around 65°, with a gentle north wind of 3-6 mph.
