National Weather Service in State College has issued a Frost Advisory for Schuylkill County.
The advisory will be in effect from midnight tonight through 8 a.m. Thursday, May 18.
The sudden drop in temperatures, expected to reach as low as 34 degrees, is predicted to result in frost formation.
This poses a significant threat to sensitive outdoor vegetation, which could be killed by near-ground freezing temperatures.

You are urged to take precautionary measures to protect their plants and vegetation, such as moving potted plants indoors and covering outdoor plants to shield them from the cold.
Temperatures will rebound through the day Thursday, with an expected high of 64 degrees.
