Police were covering two scenes in Port Carbon Wednesday afternoon after a reported shooting.
According to an unconfirmed report from the Republican-Herald, a woman approached Borough Hall on First St. in Port Carbon to report she’d been shot.
Police had a large area of Front St. blocked when we were on the scene Wednesday. An SUV that was later towed from the scene is seen hastily parked in front of Borough Hall. The driver’s side window was smashed on the ground next to it.
According to the RH report, a suspect in the alleged shooting was already in custody.
Police were also investigating an area along N. Coal St. in Port Carbon, about two blocks away from the scene at Borough Hall.
Police were wrapping up their work at the scene at around 4 p.m.
