WATCH: Joint Session of Congress Resumes Following Capitol Lockdown Earlier Wednesday
UPDATE: Shortly after the Joint Session of Congress was dissolved, the US Capitol building was stormed by protesters.
You can watch the Joint Session of Congress that’s supposed to certify the Presidential electors from the Electoral College.
It’s expected that some members of Congress will object to certifying electors in certain states, including Pennsylvania.
If a member of the House of Representatives and a member of the Senate objects to electors from a single state, each legislative body will adjourn to their own chamber and debate the validity of the electors from that state.
States are certified in alphabetical order.
Just a few minutes into Wednesday’s Joint Session, Republicans objected to electors being certified in the state of Arizona and Vice President Mike Pence, presiding over the Joint Session, adjourned the Senate to its chamber for debate.
