Schuylkill County Weather Report for July 28

Anything is going to feel better than it did on Monday. Not only was it Monday, it was also stinkin’ hot and sweaty humid. High temps reached the upper 90s across most of Schuylkill County. We saw 96 on a church clock and message board in Schuylkill Haven in the early evening!

Brutal.

So that’s why when you learn that it may not hit 90 on Tuesday, it’ll be good news. The bad news, these temperature guesstimates from the National Weather Service have been slightly inaccurate for more than a week now. And honestly, can you tell the difference between 88 and 92? Don’t lie. You can’t.

There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. NWS says they’ll be between 2-3 p.m. That’s oddly specific.

Silver lining: Look at the weekend. Temperatures return to more seasonal levels.
