Schuylkill County voters kept the County Courthouse glowing red following the 2019 Municipal General Election.

In election results, voters overwhelmingly selected Republican candidates for every office at the Courthouse.

Schuylkill County Election Results 2019 – County Government

Here are the latest Schuylkill County election results for the 2019 Municipal General Election. All precincts have been recorded and tabulated.

Schuylkill County Commissioner

The makeup of the County Commissioners remains the same for another 4 years. Voters picked George Halcovage, Frank Staudenmeier and Gary Hess as the three Commissioners in the 2019 election. Hess got about 3,000 votes more than his running mate, Joe Palubinsky, to take the minority seat on the board.

Republican incumbent Linda Marchalk defeated Democrat Catherine Mahon in the General Election by a near 2:1 margin and gets another term in office.

Schuylkill County Prothonotary

This was another rout for the GOP. Bridget Miller defeated Mark Atkinson handily, by nearly 9,200 votes.

A bit of a surprise here. Maria Casey beat Democrat Ron Pellish by about 6,500 votes in the race for Clerk of Courts.

Schuylkill County Register of Wills

We were surprised by the final result in the Register of Wills race, too. Ferraro’s popularity couldn’t overcome the massive GOP support across Schuylkill County right now.

Schuylkill County Coroner

One thing’s for certain: this race is finally over. It was the closest race of any of the row offices on Election Night. In the end, the two-time incumbent David Moylan defeated Democrat Deb Detweiler by about 3,600 votes.
