It’s National Veterans Small Business Week.
As the country celebrates the business accomplishments of military veterans, it’s a great time to honor the Schuylkill County vets who’ve gone into business for themselves.
National Veterans Small Business Week
The week-long celebration goes from Monday, Nov. 4 through Friday, Nov. 8, 2019. It’s organized by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The SBA provides an array of services and access to loan and grant money to help military veterans start or grow their businesses. Additionally, the SBA hosts events throughout the year across the country that spotlight veterans and their small businesses.
“No group better understands the values of hard work, determination, and courage than our Nation’s veterans,” President Donald Trump says. “Initiatives such as Boots to Business, help our military personnel apply the skills and values they learned in the Armed Forces to their entrepreneurial endeavors. This innovative program provides participants with access to resources and training that can help them successfully launch businesses, including information on how to secure capital and gain access to networks of professional business advisors.”
